Fans Favourite return sees improvement in fortunes
Fans Favourite Neil Oglesbee Returned to the first xv following injury and instantly sparked a return to winning ways. From the outset is clear the experienced visiting side would try and win the game by dragging the forwards around the pitch and using brute force to overcome their hosts. However bournes Pack buoyed by the return of oglesbee held firm at the scrum and the Bourne hooker won against the head for the first of many turnovers during the game this enabled Bourne to move the ball quickly to the wing where needham scampered over the line . Converted by binns. March worst fears were soon realised when bournes pack once again turned the ball over this time for Pat Hallam to cross the whitewash. Conv binns. Bournes backs were now receiving consistently quick ball they crave and enabling them to play the champagne rugby they are capable of giving another try to both needham and hallam . As Bournes superiority began to show the forwards decided to get in on the act with the powerhouse Pick bursting through to touch down. The Bourne Forwards were continually securing the ball in the loose and particularly the tight, something that has been missing in the last few weeks. On the rare occasions the defence was breached Dixon was there to quell the danger despite receiving a knock which later required 18 stitches to the inside of his mouth. Weston was also in fine form with his kicking dissolving any March threat and gaining good yards and position when needed. The second half saw Bourne able to give the youngsters some game time and were soon showing their worth with both rushton and donley scoring debut tries. Bourne continued to press and excellent work saw Jackson put motte in to extend the lead. As the visitors tired there was chance for both berry and Jackson to wrap up an exhilarating victory.
