The U11s team arrived to a wet and muddy Boston (at least the rain had stopped) on Sunday. This fixture is always highly competitive and often produces some great matches. Sundays match didn’t disappoint.
Both teams started well and players were quick to loose balls. Boston were great at the breakdown with strong rucking but handling errors let them down. Bourne were quick to capitalize on several occasions. Our defensive line work in training is starting to pay off. After two twenty minute halves both teams had given their all but still wanted to play an extra 10 minutes despite the wet and muddy conditions.
Well done to Torrin who was the coaches player of the match, captain for the match and organised the team well and was strong at the breakdown.
A great team performance! Bits still to work on but a great game of rugby to watch from the sidelines.
The U11s travel to North Hykeham next Sunday in their last match before the Christmas Break.
