The U11/12s travelled to Boston on Sunday. Bourne only had 6 players as 5 players were unavailable for various reasons. We were facing a squad of 15! In the spirit of proper rugby, Boston volunteered to help us out and had some players join our side. Boston won the first third but Bourne came back to win the second. The last was more of a contested affair, but ultimately Boston took it. Well done Anabelle for her seriously impressive tackling in the first, unfortunately being injured and having to sit out the rest of the game, and Liam with his Rucking, he loves getting stuck in head first!
Our rucking as a team, and pushing over has improved in the last few games and I look forward to seeing it evolve. It was fun to see the partnership between Frasier, Brandon and Frankie, allowing Frankie to go on and score some spectacular tries. The last ditch effort tackling by Thomas, forcing players in to touch came in clutch at times.
The U11/12s have welcomed a few new players over the last couple of training sessions and the coaches are looking forward to seeing the put in to practice what they are doing during training sessions. Welcome to the club Nathan who has recently joined the U11/12 coaching team.
The U11/12s face an away match against Deeping on Sunday before another away fixture against Kesteven on December 3rd.
